Le Sueur River One Watershed, One Plan

Among Minnesota’s most complex and studied watersheds, the Le Sueur River Watershed required an updated 10-year Comprehensive Watershed Management Plan to align local water planning on major watershed boundaries. Employing a listen-first approach and local insight, the project team engaged stakeholders, built consensus, and outlined a roadmap to address diverse needs. Striking a balance between rigorous community engagement and an expedited timeline, ISG used a mix of in-person and digital engagement tools, allowing swift and inclusive input from project stakeholders. With a focus on community, land, and environment, the completed plan prioritizes water resources and sets achievable goals for the next decade and beyond.
