The Benedictine Living Community

St. Peter, MN

64,000 Square Feet

This new 64,000 square foot long-term care facility is a new building that relocated from an obsolete building that at one time was a hospital. After exploring expansion and renovation costs of bringing the old facility up to code, it was determined to be less expensive and more efficient to build new.

The entry to the building has a covered canopy and the lobby boasts a beautiful two-story atrium. The lobby is filled with natural light from clerestory windows at the top of the space. Comfortable lounges and conversation areas are provided for residents, as well as a library and dining area that is also utilized for family gatherings and fellowship. The exterior siding is brightly finished with a limestone base that compliments the Prairie Style details of the building. The project was designed as three buildings, one is the main entry with common amenities and services, which is linked to the two main care center buildings. The entire complex is also connected to the main hospital in St. Peter, maximizing convenience.
